Destination Corsica

Corsica has 1,000km of coastline and more than 200 beaches, and is very mountainous, with Monte Cinto as the highest peak at 2706m and at least 50 other summits of more than 2000m.

The island is separated from Sardinia by the Strait of Bonifacio.

It occupies a sheltered position at the foot of wooded hills on the northern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. The harbour lies to the east of the town and is protected on the south by a peninsula.

	Propriano Propriano is a Port situated in the Valinco Gulf on the French island of Corsica. The town is also a commune of the Corse-du-Sud département on the island of Corsica.

	Calvi Calvi is located on the northwest coast of the island of Corsica, 95 km from Bastia and 24 km from L'Île-Rousse.

Euro is used all over Corsica.

Visa
If you are an european union member, you do not need any visa if you want to stay less than 3 months. You just need to present a valid passport or I.D.

The island has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The natural vegetation is Mediterranean forests, woodlands, and shrubs.

If you want to rent a sailboat or a motorboat, you need a sailing licence or a boat licence.

Best Seasons for sailing
Low season : from October to April
Mid season : May, September and October
High Season : From June to August.
