Destination Montenegro

Montenegro is a country located in Southeastern Europe. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the south, and borders Croatia on the west. Montenegro ranges from high peaks along its borders with Kosovo and Albania, a segment of the Karst of the western Balkan Peninsula, to a narrow coastal plain that is only one to four miles wide. The plain stops abruptly in the north, where Mount Lovćen and Mount Orjen plunge abruptly into the inlet of the Bay of Kotor.

The Bay of Kotor (Serbian: , Boka kotorska; Italian: Bocche di Cattaro) in southwestern Montenegro, is a winding bay on the Adriatic Sea. The bay, sometimes called Europe's southernmost fjord, is in fact a submerged river canyon of the disintegrated Bokelj River which used to run from the high mountain plateaus of Mount Orjen. It is an important tourist attraction in Montenegro.

The bay has been inhabited since antiquity and has some well preserved medieval towns.

Euro is used all over Slovenia

If you are an european union member, you do not need any visa if you want to stay less than 3 months. You just need to present a valid passport or I.D.

There"s no special risk in Montenegro except the fact that water is not drinkable.

Climat
Montenegro's lower areas enjoy a Mediterranean climate, having dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Temperature varies greatly with elevation. Podgorica, lying near sea level, is noted for having the warmest July temperatures in Yugoslavia, averaging 27° C.

Conditions for renting a boat

If you want to rent a sailboat or a motorboat, you need a sailing licence or a boat licence.

Best Seasons for sailing
Low season : from October to April
Mid season : May, September and October
High Season : From June to August.

In Montenegro power is on 220 V, and plugs are the same as in France
